How do I sign up as a new security provider?

To become a Hawque provider, visit or download the Hawque Guard app on apple store or google play. Every security resource (i.e Guard, Peace Officer, Personal Protection Agent) must complete and pass the Hawque onboarding process. The onboarding process includes a very extensive background check, certification and license check and more. You must also maintain a rating level of 3.5 to stay on the Hawque apps. We value high quality and devotion in your craft.

Guidelines for an approved profile photo ?

Your profile photo is the first thing a customer sees when choosing a provider to complete a security detail, so we want to help you make your photo look great. Here is an example profile photo that should be uploaded: Once uploaded, your profile image will be processed and added to your profile. Some things to remember when taking your profile photo:

  • No hats, sunglasses or headsets.
  • Customers want to be able to see your who will be on their work site, properpty , so do not obscure it with sunglasses, hats or Bluetooth headsets.
Find a well-lit location to take your photo. Your photo will turn out best if you can take your photo in a place where the light is even, so it is not too bright or too dark.
Find a solid background. Make sure you have a solid background in your photo. We suggest standing in front of a wall to help avoid shadows. No blurry or black and white photos. Customers need to see you clearly, so make sure you don't have any blurs before uploading your photo. No face filters Photo I.D. Guidelines: Your photo I.D. must be a government issued I.D. This includes, but is not limited to, a driver’s license, passport, or state issued I.D. Please make sure that your photo, full name, and date of birth are clearly displayed before you upload your file.

How many hours can I work per day?

We care about your safety and work life balance. We do not allow any security resources to work more than 12 hours per day. This for your safety and health as well as the clients you are servicing.

What is the radius of available jobs I can complete as a security provider?

All security providers can work within the city or state that they are licensed and certified to work. We do recommend that you stay within an hours drive to your respective client locations (zip code) so that there aren't any issues. Remember, these are your clients and you want to make the best impression for rehire by them.

What are the requirements to become a security provider?

Depending on your background (guard, peace officer, close protection), you will need to provide all supporting license, certifications and documenation during the Hawque onboarding. Highlevel Requirments below:

  • 18 years old
  • Complete online orientation
  • Provide US-government issued photo ID (with DOB) and profile picture
  • US Bank account
  • Clear a background check (SSN required)
  • Transportation
  • iOS or Android Smartphone (with texting capability)
Note: To remain active on the Hawque platform, every security provider MUST maintain a 3.0 rating or higher with mimimal no shows, cancelations and negative reviews.

Can I sign up outside the current locations Hawque is offered?

Yes. We encourage security providers to sign up and get your qualifed friends to as well. The more notifications we obtain in select markets the better insight we have around expansion efforts. You will benefit from our referral program once it's initiated in August 2018.

What does your background check look at?

For the safety of our users, every security provider is screened for criminal offenses. Hawque's criminal background check is provided by a third party and includes national and county-level databases, and when necessary, local courthouse record checks stretching back a minimum of 7 years. Determinations on whether an individual is eligible to become a provider on the Hawque platform are made on a case by case basis. A security provider, however, will be ineligible to accept job requests on the Hawque platform if, among other things, the background check results reveal convictions for any of the following: - a felony - a sexual offense - a violent crime - certain drug-related offense - certain theft - certain property damage offenses Hawque reserves the right to disqualify a provider at any time should their background check reveal any of the above items, or for any other safety-related reason at Hawque's sole discretion. If you do not pass your background check, you'll receive a copy via email.

What will be covered during the oboarding sessions?

Security oboarding covers ways to help you become successful with Hawque. You'll learn a little bit more about us, how to use the App, and some tricks of the trade to help you get great reviews and keep your customers happy. We will also teach you how to be a better business owner and security professional. The world is your oyster and all you have to do is invest in yourself and your craft. We will provide you all the tools to be the best you can be.

How do I know what jobs are available?

To view what jobs are available within your 50 mile radius, select the star button on the bottom right corner to see what upcoming or available jobs you may have. You can also go to your menu bar and view your past, available and upcoming security detail request.

How far in advance will jobs be available?

Customers currently have two options to post jobs: 1. On Demand Jobs - Security providers are expected to arrive and start within 1 hour. 2. Time and date jobs - Customers can schedule preset times up to 30 days in advance.

What are the security payout percentages?

We want everyone in the Hawque community to get the most out of our app. We utilize the following to determine the payout percentages, which is the amount of the job fee less Hawque's Use Fee. During Hawque's beta phase, the Hawque fee is only $5.00 per the security resource market rate. Hawque's aspires to keep our fees minimal so that the client and the security resource has the best experience financially. The hawque fees supports our costs to run the business and grow more opportunities and abundance for all.

What do I need to know about my income reporting?

Generally, the IRS requires you to report all income whether or not you receive a 1099-K or other tax report. Hawque will send you a 1099-K if during the calendar year: 1- you received more than $20,000 in payments from Hawque, OR 2- you completed more than 200 security details on the Hawque Platform.

When will I get paid?

You will be paid through our payment processing partner, Stripe. Stripe will bundle your transactions for the day and deposit them in your bank account 5 business days later. The very first transfer Stripe makes to your bank can take 7 business days to post. Additionally, if you update your bank account it can take 7 business days to post. If you have received a payment statement but have not received a direct deposit by 5 PM on your payment day, we can help. Please confirm that your bank account information is correct in your profile section. If so, contact us at so we can get you paid!

Do I have insurance with Hawque?

As a Hawque security provider, you are your own boss. As such, we advise you to look into obtaining your own worker's compensation. Hawque has an umbrella liability policy to cover damage to a customer's property, however, you are ultimately responsible for any avoidable damage/injuries that may occur. You will be covered only while active on the Hawque applications. VERY IMPORTANT: For any illiegal activities that occur while active on the Hawque applications, you are liable for any issues, expenses by your client or that Hawque incurs due to illegal activity on your part. Hawque will pursue reimbursement and support law enforcement to every extent possible. Hawque may also attempt to pursue any lost monies from client insurance claim reimbursements made that exceed our allowed dollar amounts.

How do I know that I'm safe at a customers property?

We trust that you use your best judgement for every situation. If you encounter an unsafe working condition or situation, please cancel Hawque via your guard app and leave the area immediately. Let us know the situation via the guard app incident report area and we will investigate - we don't want to send our security providers into unsafe conditions. Customers with repeat complaints or unlawful requests will be removed from the Hawque system. Unlawful clients or situations will be reported to the local law enforcement agencies.

Who do I contact in case of an emergency?

For all non-emergencies, contact us at or directly in the app within the help section (SMS text support). In case of an emergency, call 911 or find the assistance line you need in your service area.

How do I report an accident or safety incident?

If you were involved in a safety-related incident or are in a situation that you believe threatens your personal safety, seek medical attention or call the authorities by dialing 911 or your local non-emergency assistance line if necessary, and then report it Hawque to directly so our Safety team can follow up. Drugs and Alcohol Hawque has a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy for all security providers. If you suspect that a security provider is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, please remove yourself from any situation you deem dangerous, then contact us. Weapons To keep everyone in our community comfortable, Hawque has a strict "No Weapons" policy unless you are sourced for an armed guard position (certified and licensed) or peace officer. All qualified security resources that are taking armed guard positions must have completed the Hawque onboarding and have signed all required documents. We want to be sensitive in our community - it’s hard to know what someone else is or isn't comfortable with. The presence of a weapon might make a client distressed, and Hawque is devoted to keeping our providers and customers secure and comfortable. If you witnessed possession of an unauthorized weapon on a Hawque job, please contact us.

How do I contact my customer?

There is a call and text option to contact the customer. The phone number is masked to protect your personal phone number. The masked phone number that is assigned lasts throughout the length of the job. Numbers on both sides of the app are protected and masked.

What if the customer cancels the job?

If a customer cancels a job that you have been selected for, you will receive a push notification. If the scheduled job is canceled within under an hour of your job, you may be compensated a certain rate for your time.

How does the star rating system work?

At Hawque, we use a two-way star rating system to help ensure the security and comfort of our security and client users. At the end of a job, the customer is prompted to rate you on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, 5 being the best. Anything less than a 4 or 5 means that the customer was less than satisfactory, and we would like to know why. Please give us your feedback so we can work to make Hawque fun to use for everyone!

How often do I have to work?

You are your own boss and can dictate your own schedule. Hawque is only the bridge to customers and provides the tools to perform the job for your clients. It is important to provide the security details for all the jobs that you have accepted as a cetain amount of cancellations will result in your suspension or removal from the Hawque platform. Clients that continually cancel scheduled jobs will also face suspension and fees as we value your time as well!
